Montserrat
Last Saturday, a group of us decided to visit Montserrat, a mountain that has been a pilgrimage destination, monestary, and hermitage for hundreds of years. Today, it feels more like a tourist destination. However, we escaped the gift shops and over-priced CD's of their boy's choir and took a funicular straight to the top for a hike. The weather was georgeous that day: sunny and about 18. We hiked from the site of the funicular up to one of the peaks of the mountain and saw a breath-taking 360 view of Barcelona and the surrounding countryside. We could even see the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenese Mountain range to the north! Below are a few pictures.

Looks neat. I like the cropping on the monastery photo. And you look so cute and pretty!

I does look like fabulous, I will certainly have to come back, not just for the Sagrada Famiala, but also Monserrat!
And oh 18 degrees, how warm and sunny. I am starting to miss the sun with my daily dose of rain and wind.
